LAB75's core is a multidisciplinary team covering the functions required to set up, operate and scale a venture: product, engineering, design, strategy and operations. The team is distributed; local members work on-site when a venture is being established.

An external network of design, software and hardware engineering studios, mechanical engineers and production facilities extends this capacity to physical products. It reflects a working assumption: the goods and environments we design for change quickly, and so must the teams that build them.

Ideation + Strategy

Strategy is treated as part of the design process, not a prerequisite for it. Over 25 years from ideation to operation, one finding holds: ventures fail more often on unclear targets than on poor execution.

Our contribution is therefore diagnostic first — identifying the potential and the threats in an idea, and connecting it to relevant industry contacts — and then operational: defining achievable targets, measuring continuously, and building the model we helped to define.

Aesthetics + Computation

Product decisions are increasingly software decisions, and the reverse. LAB75 works across that boundary: research and conception before a line is built, prototyping to test the assumptions, and sustained contribution once the product is live.
